Worked ok this morning, visited my parents, but came out and drove home to find nothing working on der drizzleflippen'.

Rear wiper works, front washers work. Momentary and all three "on" speeds have no effect.

I checked fuse under the bonnet, pulled the two relays but everything looks ok. Pulled fuse in the cabin but it's ok.

The momentary action has been slow to operate lately in that I push down and then let go and then the wipers go, instead of press down, wipers go immediately.

Found the 30 minute howto on replacing the motor but it almost sounds to me like a bad relay.

Know any details on how to test relay vs motor? Always like to try the easy stuff first...

 

I have the same issue on a 2002. I checked the fuse near the pedals and it was fine, but haven't checked anything else yet. I would think that if they aren't even "trying" to work/move, and if you don't smell any electrical burning then the motor is probably fine. I think mine is a fuse or relay as well, but I don't have a repair manual to chase it down.

 

Anyone?

 

Sent car to dealer for alignment/oil change and had them look at it - dead wiper motor.

$600 with labor for install at dealer. I bought one on ebay and will try to do it myself.
