Electrical Scan Gauge II
I mounted mine in the "cubby" at the bottom of the center stack (R56). It's mounted to the bottom of the toggle switch bezzel, so I can still use the cubby, somewhat. It's a perfect fit and angled up perfectly. I display water temp, MAP, gallons per hour and volts. I was using the blue background, which sort of matched my pacific blue interior pieces, but it was too hard to see. I switched to the orange backlight, which matches the dash lighting.
I just made a simple bracket for in front of the tach...

...I display IATs, coolant temp, volts and switch back and forth between timing and MAP.
I also have a air box/filter temp gauge mounted on the dash in the empty space just to the right of the vent.

I keep mine on the top-left of the dash, and my speed is now much closer to my view of the road (and much more accurate).

MAP on ScanGuage.
Quick question... If bar is 14.3 PSI, and the atmosphere is naturally 1 Bar, why would the manifold absoute pressure ever drop below this? I dont need a lot of science, I just wanna make sure nothings wrong.
Thanks for your responses too, BTW. I put mine on the dash face to the left of the steering column and display MAP, Intake temp, Water Temp, & Volts

When sitting at idle, cruising, or other light throttle applications, the supercharger is in bypass mode (so it's not making boost). The throttlebody is barely open and the pistons are sucking air into the combustion chamber. The intake manifold is under vacuum, thus, causing the MAP to read lower than atmospheric pressure.
Did a little searching and the price for the Scangauge II is about the same everywhere. Where, if you don't mind, did you guys/girls order your's? Are they realy this easy to use? Had considered new gauges and my own scan tool but this seems better!?!
I orderd my scan guage direct from Linear Logic at scanguage.com. They actually covere shipping s well. Its is a simple plug and play gadget. It figures almost evrything out by itself, all you need to do is enter engine and fuel tank size, and specify farenheight or celcius/miles or km. I love it. The setup is very user friendly and you basically have access to 14 guages. If you look at the cost of four autometer (my preference) gauges, and the bezel, or other means of mounting them, this is way more cost ffective. I mounted mine with 3M mounting tape to my dash and have it displaying Volts, Intake Air Temp, Water Temp, and Manifold Absolute Pressure - which is basically Boost plus the 14.3 psi of the atmosphere.

Yeah, all you have is the OBD 2 Port, I ran the line down through the steering column opening, bundled it with a zip tie under the dash, and plugged it in... actually, ill go take a pic gimme a few. Also you can adjust the color of the display. I'm gonna wait til its darked so you can actually see the backlight. mine matches the guage light color perfectly

So, after the first full day with the Scangauge in my car, I have a question. Have any of you who have had one for a while had an issue with the display going dim (almost invisible) when the car interior is very hot? I started mine up after work today (97F) and while it displayed normally at first, it went invisible on me for about 15 minutes. I'm guessing the heat was the problem, but not sure.

Oh, if it matters I am runing m display with this config:
Volts--------fWT
RPM----------fIA
I have mine mounted in the same place as above and was a bit worried about the temperature having an effect on the LCD display. Luckily I have had very few problems. So far this summer there have been a few times were it was a bit hard to read, light was dim, same as you described. But as the cabin came back to a normal temp it became normal again. I think that temp and direct sunlight have do have an effect on the screen. But as far as it being invisible, I don't know. They touch upon it on page 13 of the manual.

Yup. Mainly on cooler days like we had last week the temps IA temps stayed down ~87-92 degrees. But on these really hot days they have been closer to ~98-100 degrees. My water temps seem to be pretty consistant.
My main concern if for water temps, since we hav a dummy temp guage.

but what the heck.... its a cool gadget!
