Want bluer xenons?
I want my xenons to be bluer than they are now...its the factory xenon kit that came on my 2004....what can i do to acheive this?
There are companies that sell replacement HID bulbs in different color temps. If you want them bluer you can go to 6000k, 8000k, or 10000k (which is almost purple). The highest I would go is 6000k. Anything higher than that and it might look cool but your light output will be significantly less than stock as the higher the color temp, the more of the spectrum you're filtering out. Sunlight is around 4600-4800k.
The 2004 MCS's have the D2R bulbs in the low beams. I searched for weeks before I finally purchased a pair off ebay for $80 with 1 year warranty. The seller in the following link literally sells hundreds of these bulbs every week. The bulbs IMO have the perfect blue/white look I wanted without losing any drivability.

Actually, daylight, at least in the photo world, is 5500k. I am a photographer for a living, and went to school for it. We always were taught that daylight is 5500k.
I can even tune my camera's color temp to any degree kelvin, and 5500k in the daylight is balanced. With photos, you can notice the difference between 100-200 degrees k. 4300-4800 is usually much warmer than daylight. Its usually 4200-4500k at sunset.
This may, somehow, be different for headlight measurements, but in the real world, 5500 is daylight. Light theory classes at the university level and my tools that measure color temperature very accurately, all point to 5500k.
