Hey guys

Trying to install a power magic pro for my blackvue dashcam. I currently have it wired to F16 (these are the reading lights, etc). Problem is that my standby mode on the camera doesn't last longer than 30 minutes before auto-shutting down. I've read somewhere that the newer bmws (might also apply to minis?) would have their fuse boxes "cut power" in about 30 minutes.

If that's the case, is there another fuse that I can tap in? I would assume F21 (lock/comfort access) would be constantly powered, but...may not be the wisest choice in case the camera drains all the battery and I cant even unlock the car. The manual also suggests that I could tap in the "emergency lights" fuse, but which fuse would that be for the mini?

Need some help. Thanks

Any fuse that is a continual 12v source has the potential to drain the battery and you might not be able to unlock the door, not just F21.

To elucidate- The top end of the fob has a button which releases the traditional type key -At least in those cars with Comfort Access.

does anyone know what relay and/or fuses the right and left indicators use? I need to tap into them BEFORE the relay to add indicators to the sidelights in the arches to allow the sidelights to stay on, indicators flash, sidelight back on

Broken fixing point for lid?

Has anyone had to deal with a broken catch loop on this fuse box? I mean the plastic loop which comes out of the main body closest to the firewall (on the right side of this pic). One of the tabs on the fuse box cover is supposed to be held in place by this little piece of plastic. Otherwise it's only held down on one end and the loose on this one.

However a 20A fuse really wouldn't be safe because you can draw 20A from one socket without blowing the fuse and possibly overheat the wire.
good WARNING to all those who used the rear socket to power an AMP

Any guesses as to which fuse(s) would prevent the cruise control and hill start assist from working?

I have this problem after a garage disconnected my Viper alarm system. No warnings or error messages, just that the functions do not activate.

well my comfort access and key fobs are not working because it was a fuse! Darn. But thanks for the useful information for me to be able to rule that out. On with the search!

Any useful suggestions appreciated and yes I changed both batteries...LOL

After my last visit to the dealership for my 3 year checkup on my 2012 Roadster S my cigar light socket and my boot charger socket quit working. My fuse panel doesn't look like the ones pictured in tha there are only 4 20 amp fuses on the right side below the 3 30 amp fuses. All my fuses appear to be okay. Any clues?

Bumping this back from the dead...

I just installed my radar detector using this info. Tried to use fuse 42 but then I couldn't get the fuse box cover reinstalled. Went with fuse 32 (Parking Sensor) and have switched power, working great.

Can someone help me out? I have a 2012 R55 Clubman.

I want to add DRLs and use an add-a-circuit fuse tap into the engine bay fuse box. Is there a fuse in the engine bay that will give me ignition-on power?

Thanks.

97 posts and there is no indication what fuse works the dome light or footwell lights. Not in the diagram, not in the workea

I think your quest to find terminal 50 would only be found in Tis.

Earlier R56s like mine do not even list one on the emoji chart Mine stops at 49 for an 07 mcs r56.

Going to disconnect bulbs...... cause I own a mini.

Does the inside fuse panel have a 100% constant battery feed that never drops out? I need to provide continuous power to my Android HU. Right now I am using the old "continuous" radio power feed which I learned is timed to 30 minutes after keyfob removal.
