Alright, I have gone through all of the interior and under hood fuses just in case and non of them seem to be blown. I used one of those cheap fuse testers but I still can't find the problem. Please help!!!

What model/year is your car? I don't know for sure, but I would guess that an R53 fusebox could be different than an R56's.

I have a 2005 MCS Conv. There is no fuse box in the passenger door, but there is one on the driver's side in the left panel next to the left foot rest (or clutch). The F42 slot was empty, so I inserted the Spare 20 Amp Fuse, and it just jiggled there like it didn't fit, and the cigarette lighter still wouldn't work. Do I have a defective F42 slot?

This is the 2nd Gen forum. For a 2005, it would be F32, 15A.

I got a used 03 MCS and discovered that the cigarette lighter outlet wasnt working when i used my GPS. When i removed the power cord for the GPS out of the socket saw a penny in it. Did a google search how to fix it and got to this threat. It was useful n i replaced the fuse with the spare one in there. Now it work. Thnks for the info. By the way where do i get those fuses..its good to have a spare one always.....

will a 12 volt air compressor drawing 15 amp be ok to use in a first gen MCS without frying anything? I want to carry a compressor as I/m dumping the run flats.
