Sorry, but why would you want to turn your brake lights off when braking? Are you trying to evade the cops? Planning a bank heist?!?

you never know you have to evade cops or rob a bank jk. I don't want to turn off my brake lights completely, just when regenerative braking. because i use regenerative braking a lot and hardly use the brake pedal it looks like i'm old person or a very cautious drive braking every second when there is a car in front of me.

I haven't seen anything in Bimmercode that adjusts the brake light.

I wish it would flash the rear fog lights on regen braking like an F1 car.

I think theres a setting that refers to brake force triggering in bimmercode? I was never sure what that setting did but it sounds like what you're looking for.

Also who cares about what you look like? It's probably safer to reduce the chances that somebody rear ends you. A lot of people out there are poor drivers / aren't paying attention.

Yeah, I'd rather leave the brake lights alone and have people get annoyed at the lights, than turn them off and get rear ended.

Looks like you can use Bimmercode to adjust the brake force.

“Brake force display” is something completely different than the regenerative braking display. “Brake force display” flashes the light when you’re braking harder than a certain level. Tells drivers behind you that you’re stopping fast.

I was curious about when the regen braking turned on the brake lights so I installed an LED inside that I can see in the rear-view mirror. It turns out that the brake lights come on when the instrument panel's power needle touches the first regen block. I wish the brake lights would wait to illuminate until the car is decelerating faster than a MINI Cooper S using engine braking, but at least now I know exactly when they light up.

In regular traffic I now accelerate from a stop to the speed I plan to continue rather than rocketing to a higher speed then backing off. When I'm hooning on the back roads, I don't care at all about the brake lights.
