After waiting 81 days since ordering an SE for my wife (her first MINI), we finally took delivery this week. It was well worth the wait and we are incredibly pleased with the car. First, it looks incredible and so far has exceeded all expectations. So far, I have to say that it is the best MINI I have ever driven ... including my 2017 JCW (which I love). This is the fifth MINI in my family, so I'm not a newcomer to the brand.

Spec is Iconic trim with Rail Spoke wheels. Color is Enigmatic Black with white roof. Carbon black lounge leather interior with black/yellow cocoa mats. We opted to delete the sunroof and had the MINI blackjack roof decal added at the port .... that really makes the car stand out. We still need to add stripes and some other trim, but so far the result is pretty amazing.

Good to know you can delete the sunroof on these. I didn't know if they would allow it since the individual options are so limited.

The only factory options (other than trim level) are the no-cost rims (selection dependent on trim level), the no-rebate sunroof delete, the no-cost Energetic Yellow grille blade/mirror caps delete (unconditionally deleted for BRG and Chili Red cars), and the $500 switch from grey to black leather seats.

 

Thanks. Bummer that there aren't more options. For instance, the base trim (Signature) has everything I really want, except Anthracite Headliner. Hoping I can beg the dealer to put it on the custom order and hope it happens. I'd also prefer the JCW seats, but that's more than can be expected. Maybe on the JCW GP-E!
