this weekend I am making a drop-in replacement air-to-air intercooler with a substantially larger core. It should be an easy matter to compare heat/flow performance to stock.

this is only a prototyping project so far.

stock intercooler: 6" x 2" (12 sq" area, 12" long)
prototype has 9.1" x 2-1.4" (20-1/2 sq" area, 12" long); 70% more area
edit: just got the cores: 9" x 2" id, (18 sq", 12" long); 50% more area.

Where do you make the connections for the gauge lighting? I am going to start my gauge install this weekend (boost and oil press) but haven't seen any mention of wiring for the lights. Thanks for the help.

There's a rather thick bundle of wires (about 2" diameter) in the fuse area. If memory serves correctly, I patched into red/purple. The first one found is most likely not the right one though, again, if I recall correctly. I'd check with PROMINI, or somone who has their instructions to make sure...

That is smart. Its on my list!

>>I just took mine to a machine shop. The tapped the end of the housing, installed the aeroquip fitting I gave them and I had it back in a day. I think it cost about $20.
