Drivetrain PHOENIX Group Pully Install - November 22 & 23
10 - it's happening for sure now.
I am going to see how things are after the baby is about a month old, then I can give you guys a firm schedule.
Now that it's for sure, we should start checking out locations and that may predicate the dates. The earliest I think I'll be ready to leave Denver is late October.
All of the events up to this point have been 3+ days, so more folks are welcome - we did 43 in California.

Hey Randy...I think we kinda all agreed on the November 22/23 weekend. Unless that is going to be a problem for you, that's the weekend we'd prefer. We figured that you might want to be home for Thanksgiving, so it's the weekend before.
Hope this is agreeable to you?

We have a date, and a place to do it.

Dyno Comp has been so kind as to allow us the use of their shop to
do the installs. Some requested to do theirs on Saturday, thers on Sunday.
There are a few driving in from LA, San Diego, Vegas.
Yes, we have 10 and are still taking names for more. I have had a few emails
asking about spots that might be left. We still have roof for you! Let me know
if you might still want to do it!

I would really like to get this done to my Cooper. But I wan't more info before I spend all that money. Plus I need to sell a motorcycle and find a job before I can even consider it. But put me on the list anyway. November is a little time away so by then all that should come to pass.
I am signed up for the November pulley party and I look forward to supporting Randy and all of his hard diligent work for the MINI community to enjoy.
Besides, when our 2004 MCS arrives in 40 days, I only want 'the master' doing the tuning....
P.S. for you that live in Arizona, re there any autocross or track day events going on that weekend?
Respectfully.

I too want to support the mini community. I choose to use a local shop so if there is an issue they are just down the street. As far as 'master tunners' it's hard to beat these guys. They got 40hp just with dyno tunning on my WRX. You guys will see if you use there shop for the party.
With all due respect Randy is good. I'm not telling you not to use him but he's got nothing on these guys.

Yes, Tucson has a auto-x 10/23. See http://www.azbrscca.org/ for details. I'm planning to get the pulley on Sat. and race on Sunday.

I am happy that Dyno Comp has agreed to help us out with the Pully Party.
I am also happy to see that they can do the work if needed.
But this has been in the works for 3 months or so and we are very excited about it.
Randy is a great guy who agreed to come out and do this for us if we could get 10 people. Well, we have the 10+. We all want to support Randy and his MINI venture.
Just to make everything official, it is set for
Saturday and Sunday (November 22 & 23)
Some prefere to have theirs done on Saturday and some on Sunday.
We still have a few openings for those who want
"The Master" to install your parts.

Just got my pulley installed last night. OMG what a rush! It took about two hour start to finish. I hope all of you guys get this mod! Get the intake too. I know we've been working on this thing for a while but I couldn't wait. There is also something to be said about using a local company for any kind of after the sale support. They were here (local), had the parts in stock and have the experience and tools to do the install right. I spoke to the tech that did the install and he has over 25 years designing and building race cars so I feel very confident it'd done right. I think HE is the master not taking anything away from Randy.
I will post some dyno charts later if you guys are interested.

But of course we're interested!
I can't wait for November (but I will, got wheels and tires on the way now..)
It's fantastic that we have a local tuner, and I will support them, but the pulley party is something special! I'm really interested to see how the Powerchip ECU shapes up come November. I'll very likely do both pulley and ECU and want to see how it will compare to Evotech at that stage in this wacky mod game!

Where is this place that I can go and ask some questions? A web likn would be great. I'm thinking about putting my car in a magazine after the work is done. Any suggestions?

Joebud - I have no problem with that at all, and I'm happy you are now enjoying the results of their work! I appreciate them offering the use of the shop.
I think all of us have a forte, and the Master vs. Master thing is really moot. I have techniques, just like everyone else, and there is room in the world for more than one professional  .
I need to start getting info from folks. If you could call to give me your contact info and set up a day and time, it would be very helpful.
From start to finish, the pulley takes 45 minutes if I'm explaining as I go, and the record is 27 minutes
(not that I was trying to make a record!). I schedule 1 and 1/2 hours for each of you to program ECUs, explain things, drink water, generally socialize, put in an intake, etc. Feel free to show up for the first install and watch all day - it's always fun having a gathering of MINI guys.
Here is the schedule:

11:00 on Saturday
Pulley (unless I get another big casino night to pay for the ECU as well)
Roof flag, assuming MiniMac gets it done and helps me with the install.
