Help my car went into limp mode! What to do?
Hello fellow motorers,
My car went into Limp Mode yesterday and I need help to fix. The only thing that is different on my car is my new exhaust that I installed two weeks ago. It all started a couple days ago when I noticed that every time I would accelerate hard I would lose power and my boost gauge would always stay in vac. and wouldn't go into boost. Then yesterday on my way to get my safety check done it went into limp mode, so I asked the machanic to scan my car for any codes and he said a P1680 code came up. Could it be that I have an exhaust leak or do I have a vac. leak that would make this happen? Please can anyone help!

Sounds like one of your rubber intercooler couplers popped out. A lot of times this will happen on the bottom side of the intercooler, making it almost invisible. Pull the intercooler and reinstall it. I am 95% sure thats what happened.
Or you might have snapped a belt. Doubt your car would run though. It's most deffinately a leak on the intake track after the supercharger.

Thanks spillman but I found out that the Bypass Valve was stuck close last night after work. I had a feeling that it was a vac. leak because my boost gauge would'nt go into boost. So if my bypass valve is getting stuck should I pick up a new one so that I won't have this happen again? Any suggestion!
