Hey guys. I'm going to be converting to the hydra EMS standalone. And I am wanting to get rid of the factory coils. I just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions for an aftermarket four coil setup. Thanks in advance.

 

i had a demon that crapped out . so i'm using the stocker . who'd a thunk that the 18000 volts needed to jump the spark gap was easily acheavable from the stocker .!!

 

Yeah I have seen the Demon coil pack. I don't want anything that only has two coils like the stock setup. I am looking for a high output four coil setup. At 20psi on the stock coils I had to drop the plug gap a lot to avoid missfires.

 

Try this. It seems good.

 

MSD does seem to make good products. However I want to get away from double coil pack in favor of a four coil setup.

 

just as a friendly warning the hydra has only worked well in the subaru venue and mixed with the evo. are you sure that they have it working for the mini?
alta has given up on the hydra. it's kinda a one man operation.

 

Ahh i do see it listed as a parallel system for 03 to 06 only. good luck i hear they have terrible customer service.
