Help! Removing M716% for Alta V2

Has anyone removed an M7 or other pulley to replace with another? I am having a hard time getting the M7 off.
Any ideas or suggestions appreciated

besides the 4 holes for the normal bolts there are 2 extra holes that are threaded. Get some longer bolts that have the right thread and use these to pull the pulley of the shaft. The pulley can get stuck on, mine was and the use of the 2 extra holes worked great

Thanks!

I will give this a try, do you know if they are the same threads as the 4 bolts removed from the pulley?

I would guess so...

Why are you changing the M7 pulley for the Alta V.2? Going from 16% to 19%?

I think they are, but if I remember correctly the thread on the bolts that come with the pulley is not long enough for this operation (the threads don't run all the way to the head of the bolt)...

I just checked and the supplied bolts are too short. I will pick some up at the hardware store tomorrow.
I do not require a puller right, just thread in the new longer bolts into the 2 holes until the 2 halves separate?

I am going from the 16 to 17%. I had some issues with pulley alignment with the M7, it was eating belts and causing the belt tensioner to rattle.

correct, tighten the 2 bolts in small amounts until the pulley pops off...
