Blue Flame Exhaust...

Hello Ladies & Gents,

Does anyone out there have the Blue Flame Dual Exhaust for the MCS from Mini Mania? I'm liking the way it looks, but I have yet to hear it. Can anybody give me an opinion on what it sounds like? I was looking to purchase something that sounded like the UUC system, but apparently it's discontinued. I'm trying to find something that is aggressive, but not to the point of being unable to listen to music or talk to a passenger. I don't mind a bit of drone, as long as it sounds good. Any input is really appreciated.

Thanks all,

Matt

I believe a sound clip for reference can be found on the "Exhaust Reference Thread," on this same sub-forum.

Have you checked there yet, or am I off?

I have that exhaust. Had it from SSE distributor about 20months ago. I've not seen its equal in looks. It has sound deadeners, but I removed them before installing as it looked like it might reduce flow and I'm tolerant of noise - so I dont know what it sounds like with them in. I like the sound around town very sporty and deeper in tone than others. On freeway it does drone so after listening to it for a few weeks I turned up my radio. I just got rear ended and considered what exhaust I'd get if I were to replace it and I have to say I'd get the same one again. I'm now fitting a cooper aero bumper with custom cutouts to fit this dual exit exhaust pattern - so that should be a pretty unique look - should have that back in a week, will post pictures.

The way it was:

Sucks you got rear-ended, but it's good everything is alright.

Btw, have any vids of what that sounds like? It certainly looks cool, so I wonder if it sounds cool as well.

Minvader posted a vid at idle, and start up (exhaust ref. thread) sounds like a proper rally car wide open under load high ROMs I personally love the sound not a fan of the look.

I haven't seen a video/sound recording for this exhaust. I'll try to post one this weekend.

I've also removed the rear mini badge - had to fill holes and paint. I’d already done this to the front last year. I'm waiting for paint to cure before adding stripes back. Also will be painting the arches satin black soon. Personally I’m not that smitten with body color/gloss black/matt black/or the cheap plastic finish of arches so black satin for me - coming soon. I also finally have a video of the exhaust revving so here’s that.
