Invidia exhaust installation ?

Ive been researching this exhaust and have seen in older posts that there was a problem with the hanger needing to be modified on an '05 MCS.

Does anyone know if there have been any changes/upgrades on the Invidia N1 (part #HS03MCSGTT) that allow installation without modification?

Thanks

I doubt there has been any updates on the exhaust design..
well. Easy way? Take off the inner hangers from the car. (they are just bolted on so they are very easy to take off) When the hangers are off, tie the hangers on the exhaust with zipties or metal wires... (using the empty holes that you have made by taking off the inner rubber hangers from ur vehicle).

They won't fall off.

Thanks for your reply.
Just in case anybody else wants to know, I ended up finding that Invidia makes an exhaust that fits 04-06 models. I purchased it from coasttocoastusa. Just got it, but haven't had it installed yet.

I have the Invidia for my 05 with the correct hangers and it fits perfect. I have had it on for approximately 7k miles with no problems. It's been a great exhaust so far.

There are two versions, one for older(02-03) and one for newer(04+) models. If you get the correct one then you shouldn't need any hanger modifications.

Sorry to place my imput on an older thread:

Two systems available per Invidia:

2003-2004 MCS Cat-Back (per Tom Tran will fit 2002 models)

2005-2006 MCS Cat-Back

The hanger modification was a must prior to the new system being released. Now the only ones that cannot install this are the turbo guys.

Cheers,

The only thing to watch for is convertibles! I have an '06 MCS 'vert and installed a 02-04 invidia exhaust from an old mini of mine and the brace under the convertibles changed it from a simple hanger switch to a whole project.

Otherwise would have been very easy!

What about part numbers...i'm curious about the part number ittybittymini posted in the beginning. Does that number (HS03MCSGTT) fit only the 02-04 cars or does that fit the 05-06 cars and if it doesn't fit the 05-06 cars what is the correct part number to be ordering?? Any help from our vendors would be much appreciated.

Steve
