Drivetrain MSD's DashHawk - Anyone look into this yet?
It is 1 7/8" tall by 4" wide by 3/4" thick.
I would find that very appealing as it makes it possible to tune without an expensive wideband.
It says right on the linked page at MiniMania's website, all the way at the bottom
DASHHAWK WILL WORK ONLY WITH OBDII PORTS THAT MEET THE NEW "CAN" STANDARD - FOR MINIs THIS MEANS MODEL YEAR 2007 AND ON.
Where's Ian?
The MINI has always had a CAN-bus, a K-bus, a D-bus and a DS2-bus. It seems that all that is lacking is the CAN-bus connection to the 2 OBDII pins. Certainly someone can get that hacked.................. then all years would work. There might even be a part number for extra OBDII pins :

I came across the dashhawk today for the first time. After I read that it wouldn't work on my 05 MCS, I found this thread that mentioned the Scangauge.
Does anyone know if the ScangaugeII will monitor the following on pre 07 MINI's using the "Realtime Digitial Gauges":
Engine Speed (RPM)
Vehicle speed (MPH)
Intake Air Temperature
Manifold Pressure
Ignition Timing
Coolant Temperature

There's a local company that has an interesting product too, check this one out.
