380cc injectors with other mods, noticeable perf. upgrade?

Hello,

First post and a question:

I have an 06' MCS Checkmate, with a few mods that have been done in the last 1000 miles. I have a 15% Helix Pulley, Helix air intake, GIAC software, Borla Cat Back Street Exhaust, as well as Denso Iridium plugs and Nology Hot Wires as engine mods. In addition I've added H Sport Springs, 18" PIAA FR-S Wheels and 215/35 non run flat tires and the car came with a JCW Upper Front Stress Bar and a limited slip diff.

The car runs great, but I'm curious if adding the JCW 380cc injectors will give it any noticeable speed upgrade? I'm sure many of you have done some variation of these mods., any opinions?

I've attached a few pics in case your curious, doesn't everyone like to look at pictures.

Thanks,
John

Instead of them.

After you install it, check the A/F ratio, just for sure everything is OK.

Standard injectors are good enough for these HP.

Not needed but Giac can give you a tune for these injectors. a cam will add more power but more for the top end which hurts in stop light driving where you spend time in Low Rpms.

trust me a high Rpm power making car sucks to drive around town and from stop sign to stop sign.

Actually it's important what cam do you choose. You have few of them.

Some of them do not hurt as much low rev torque.

The 15% GIAC tune is not tuned to utilize the 380cc injectors. They do tune for that if you go to a 17% or 19% pulley, but you will need to get an upgraded flash.

Injectors work on a duty cycle system. If you're running at 50-60% now, moving to 380's will only lower the duty cycle down 10-20%. In short you may see a small gain, but I doubt you're going to see any real difference. Money best spent elsewhere .

FYI a cam without a tune and a head isn't likely to give you more than 4-5 HP. Since you have to pull the whole timing cover off anyway to get to the cam you might as well spring for a head and get that installed with it. I think SpiderX is selling his Webb head right now for $850 .
