My son took our garage fan and rapped a blue plastic tarp around creating a tube. So at one end rapped around the fan and at the other duck tapped over the IC. Once inflated it became know as the condom mod

On MyMini dyno day, it was looked at by some w/ sceptisim but when the first car pulled 3 extra HP w/ it as opposed to w/out it - everyone wanted it hooked up.

To me it made sense because it created more real world conditions. Our cars are suppose to have air passing thru the IC when being driven. On a dyno, its stagnet. Some shops aim a fan at the IC but the tube created a more real world forced air thru it.

 

That's *cool*!! I agree that forcing air through the IC on a dyno is a great idea.

It's the blue thing... It was attached to a large fan as would blow air directly on the intercooler.

Nicely done and it did worked!
