Mikehome1,

You lucky dogs! I've been reading your thread for the past two weeks watching you guys work yourselves into a frenzy up there, good for you! Please do me a favor, with Randy busy traveling and/or testing parts of late, I've been unable to reach him, would greatly appreciate you asking him if he indeed is still good for San Diego install and what were the dates exactly?

Kevin

Day one of the Southern Ohio Pulley Mod wraps up with Randy doing 7 cars, and 3 ECU remaps. No problems except one $100 speeding ticket on one of the modifed cars test run.
Photos of todays events to follow. No cameras will be permited at the evening recap gathering.
If you have an MCS you need this,it's incredible.

OK are a massive group of mini owners going to the Sonic drive-in this evening in S. Ohio? If so what time. Let me know, I don't have an S so I don't need a pully fix by me, Gary and my DH would love to meet other Mini Motorers.

And the Sonic was my idea:-)

The weekend has gone awesome thus far (I'm posting from Mikehome1's computer  )

There was an unexpected influence prior to my pulley install. A mysterious force demanded that I get the Evotech ECU upgrade while it was here and available through Randy. Now my engine mods include the Madness intake, the Alta pulley, and the Evotech software.

The difference is completely amazing, it's a whole different car!

Cheers, off to burnout-land!

Ryan isn't kidding, I was there since my car was next to receive the blessing. I actually think Randy could do the install faster but I encouraged Randy to relax and proceed at whatever pace moved him. No point in inducing an unexpected engine drop that misses the bolts.

Thanks to all, it was nice meeting you. Aside from some rumored altercations Rick had with a female impersinator the night before (I wasn't there to see it) everything this weekend went flawlessly.

Thanks again to Randy.

It's off-topic but what are you using to get your car so shiny Ryphile?!

Sounds like you guys had a great time. I'm jealous & wish I could've made this one...

I'll answer for him since he's on his way back to Detroit. Primarily he uses Zymol products. For more detail, check out this thread on the Detailing 101 forum.

Bill: wanted to say thanks again for being such an awesome host! Also thanks for posting the pics, and linking my Detailing thread! No wonder Mike and Randy are jealous of me staying at your place, tee hee!

I finally sifted through my pictures, here they are. No guarantee they don't suck!

Cheers,
Ryan

Best bang for the buck ever. If you only do one mod to your MCS, make it the pulley. Its like the car grew a couple of extra cylinders. More power across the whole band, but especially noticeable at midrange RPMs. I am immensly impressed with the difference the pulley makes.
Thank you Randy, and thank you Mike for hosting the event. Great bunch of people at the mod party. Many sharp vehicles present, including Ryephile's almost twin of my own blue beastie.

It was a great time meeting WJKLOS, RYEPHILE, MIKEHOME, another dude, his son, the guy with the PS and body kit, and a guy with a LY and dandy K&N filter. Mike was a great host and I am terrible with names. Thanks for the water and Coke. No crack or anything like that so I was disappointed. Mike should change his screen name to MikeCurb or MikeTheAirbag.

Randy did a great job! The car is much different with more low end and the pitch of the SC is sweet to the ears. Torque is wonderful.

Anyone questioning the pulley should not hesitate. 100% worth it.

Thanks Randy!

Hey there all,
Was great meeting you guys & I wish I could have hung around a while longer. Hope your drive back was uneventful Ryephile. The front of my MINI is bug COATED!

Made it back in one piece & only had to fill my leaky tire every 100 miles or so.

Thanks to you Mike for organizing the event, and for the hospitality! If you ever get up my way just give a call - mi casa es su casa.

Randy - you da MAN! - The pully is just AWSOME and our breif test drive was enlightening - what I thought the car could do and what it CAN do are two very different things. I've got to get out for some track/performance driving schooling. ...until then I shall remain grasshopper.

If you've ever considered the pulley,DO IT.If you're a speed freak the power gain and acceleration is tremendous. If you like a more sedate ride, the pulley offers so much torque that you'll shift less.

Whoa, you can download this from their website.

Randy, you don't have to learn German after all! There's an English version.

Thanks to Mike for hosting the event. Thanks to Randy for being the 'Master of the MINI'. The pulley is unbelievable! Which brings me to my problem - I have to pull the ECU and send it to Randy to get the software upgrade. That means I can't drive the beast for 3 WHOLE DAYS!
Once the ECU is in place I will have the following mods: Madness Intake, Alta intercooler air diverter, Milltek header with sport cat, Magnaflow exhaust, pulley, ECU and 16"SSR Comps with Yoko AVS ES100's. Suspension and brakes are next, maybe a LSD, clutch and pressure plate and maybe a flywheel. But these are all for next year.
Wonderful experience, meet a great bunch of people. Again, thanks to all who made this possible.

PS - After watching Randy in action, I see a road trip to Denver when it comes time for some serious suspension work
