All,

I'm not part of the pulley install (I have a non-S), but regardless, I live north of Cincinnati and have an extra room for anybody who wants to partake. I'm not close to the river action but I am <2 miles from Kings Island, and probably within 3-4 of the secret pulley install location.

PM me if interested.

Cheers,
Bill

Can I come watch?

I am not ready to do the pulley yet, but I would like to watch it done. Can someone tell me where the 'secret location' is at so I can stop by and watch the process?

Thanks,
Erik

Erik,

I was going to stop by and take pictures, for historical purposes, and maybe be the Wendy's "gofer" guy.

If you're around, I wouldn't mind hearing about some of these good roads you seem to always be able to find north of town!

Bill

Hey all,

I am scheduled for the 8:00 a.m. Saturday timeslot. I was wondering if anyone coming down on Saturday has the magnaflow installed so I could hear it? Cant wait to meet some more Mini owners.

We have one slot left for the Great So. Ohio Pulley Mod.Randy will only bring pulleys for those cars scheduled.Several cars are also getting the ECU chip.
If you would like to stop by to meet Randy and some speed crazed MCS owners, exit I71 at Mason Montgomery(first exit south of Kings Island),east on Mason/Montgomery to north on Montgomery RD.3 stoplights to east on Fields Ertel,First right is Stonebridge Way,next to apt. complex, left on Farmstead to 9832.Please drive slowly in the subdivision,I earn my living there.
Randy will be staying at my place on the Ohio River,so we'll probably spend evenings there.
If you get lost call 513.608.0053

---> Randy should have or will be very soon contacting you about scheduling your appointment time. Please let me know when you set that up so I can update the listing

Cheers,
Ryan

Ok, I just got off the phone with Randy. He said that he's 4 people away from finishing the schedule. This means that if you're one of the four, get ahold of us!!! ("us" being either RandyBMC, Mikehome1, or yours truly)

See everyone in a few days!
Cheers,
Ryan

wow, quite steep pricing for only two pulls!
Randy and I were just chatting about the cost of Dyno pulls, and from his experience, a reasonable rate is less than $100 for three pulls

See if that shop is willing to adjust their prices to something more reasonable, and also if they'd be willing to take on a group-rate for us.

Thanks to wjklos for being such a gratious host, I'll be staying at his place, which is nearby King's Island (and also close to Mike's Host-location).

Thanks Bill, I really appreciate it!

Ok, I just got off the phone with Randy, here's The Schedule:

Friday
8am, Justin
9:30, Terry
11am, Jeff (ECU)
12:30, Mike D. (ECU) <--host
2pm, Ben

Saturday
8am, Derek
9:30, Ryan
11am, Jim W. (ECU)
12:30, Ric (ECU)
2pm, Cooper
3:30, Mike C.
4:30, George

Sunday
8am, Kevin
9am, Geoff
9:50, Tom
11am, Mark

***NOTE: If you are having your ECU flashed, you NEED TO SHOW UP AT 8AM!!!

Also, a few people have yet to contact Randy to schedule a time:
John F. - Tim J. - Ron H., if this is you, call Randy at 720-841-1002 ASAP

Using Randy's 7-per-day max, there are 2 spots open on Friday, and three on Sunday. The Installation takes about 55 minutes once Randy is "in da groove".

PAYMENT: $400.00 including parts and labor. You can pay by check (personal or certified) made out to MINI-Motorsport, or any major credit card (Visa, MC, Disc, Amex).

Randy will be using the ALTA Performance 15% Stainless Steel supercharger pulley. This pulley features a taper-bore design which allows for highly accurate belt alignment and error free installation.

...well, that should do it!
Cheers,
Ryan

Hey Derek,

I'll be there with my Magnaflow - slotted in for 3:30PM. I'll try to be a bit early, but it still would be a longish wait. ...That is unless someone gets a reasonable rate for group dyno runs - before & after. ...Then I'd wake up SUPER early to take the Pepsi challenge.

It is now 9:45 on Thursday and I'm starting to get psyched. I'm really looking forward to getting this done and meeting everybody.

Hey Mike, if you can come early you'll be a hero because I know there are a bunch of us interested in finally hearing a Magnaflow in person. I'll proably hang around for as long as I can but I doubt my wife will have as much patience with me loitering around there.

See everyone there.
Jim

I don't know why anyone wouldn't do this. I did
the upgrade when Randy was in Florida. It is like
a different car.....

I believe that I speak for the collective So. Ohio pulley group:

I can't wait. This anticipation is worse than x-mas when I was a kid.

Do you feel the same way?

With all the MINIs that will be around, has anybody given thought to a gathering later on any of the install days?

I am presuming that the installs will be at a residential location (based on the directions), so probably not the best place for a bunch of gearheads to hang out (or maybe it is, I don't know).

I am not doing the pulley install, but I'd love to come down from Columbus and meet a few of you. On the other hand, I don't want to crowd up somebody's neghborhood either.

Comments?

Sonic Drive-In is just down Montgomery road from the install site. Sound like a plan.

I agree the anticipation is unbearable. I figured I wouldn't be able to sleep the night before so I took the 8:00 A.M. spot on saturday. I live in Indiana so 8 am is really 7 am to me. To add to that I have to drive like 2 hours to get to Cincinatti. So I am going to have to get up at like 4 in the morning to get there. I cant wait for one to get the pulley, and to meet some of the people from this board. See you all there.

my drive down
Ryephile...

Where do you live that you will be 'driving down'? I will probably 'drive down' from Columbus just to hang with the MINIacs for a while.
