Drivetrain I need a little more noise
a supertrapp exhaust will give you wrc car like loud lift throttle crackle. i do this all the time just to hear the crackle.
check for the thread i on did on the carnation semi hai. i opened up the stock lower airbox with lots of holes AND removed the back wall. the things SCREAMS when you put your foot in it.
so i have aural treats getting on the throttle AND lifting.

I had the JCW exhaust until....
I purchased the entire Milltek system (header, cat, resonator, cat-back) and I am very happy I did. Good low-toned sound when you put your foot into it but not obnoxious at highway speeds. Also, VERY pronounced popping on deceleration! Might be just what you are looking for.
As far as intake, well, I have a modified (flap removed and K&N filter added) JCW airbox. It works [now] as well as any aftermarket box.

He is talking about burble here ! Burble & pops will get louder w/ an exhaust modification.
Yes, a pulley will add a little more whine simply because its spinning faster but the whine loudness is mostly attributed to a CAI w/ an open back.

I'll second that!
