Mini was showing the JCW Kit at the NYC Auto show and advertising it as a $4,500 option on a new car or a retro fit on existing. The sales rep heavily stressed the 48 month extended warrantee as why to buy this rather than do it yourself for 1/2 the price. The Mini booth was mobbed with both young and old waiting in line to squeeze thier butts into the driver's seat. Oh, the tips on the JCW exhaust look great.

Summary: Here's $2,300 in parts and for another $2,200 I'll garrantee that it won't break. lol

Don't forget the 8-10 hours of installation. Typically dealers charge anywhere from $90 to $100 an hour for labor.

Was planning on doing the NYC auto show yesterday (Tuesday) when I realized...I already HAVE the car of my dreams!!! Really, I wouldn't trade MY MCS for anything right now. And with the couple of mods I've added it's just PERFECT! So I woke up yesterday and decided not to go. I don't need to see the MINI booth being that I'm at my dealer a couple times a month anyway just b/c....

Besides, now that I have my dream car I need to start working on that dream house!
