the co2 i have herd acts like a fire extinguisher...pardon my spelling.
but as i was saying. i have heard that because the IC is so close to the filter, the co2 could cause a power loss.

Isn't using something like NoS as an IC cooler a bit dangerous? I wouldn't want something that flammable being shot at pressure under my hood.

the chance of any nitrous getting into an intake with a top on it would be almost impossible since the only opening is facing back...intakes with exposed filters will have a little higher chance but itd still be minimal

N2O isn't flammable...that's a myth...if injested into your intake, it could over lean your mixture and...

N2O is not flamable by itself. its a pretty common misconception

I guess I should have said accelerant or oxidizer. Still not sure I would want it being sprayed under my hood. What is the benefit over a CO2 system?

from what i get from it. if any of the co2 gets into the intake it will cause a loss in horspower acting similar to a fire extinguisher. the n2o will probably noteffect anything. i dont think either would get sucked into the intake at all, if so it will be very minimal. probably not enough to notice anything. im using the n2o setup because i already have the n2o bottle and everything. i would spend $400 on n20 or c2o just for intercooler cooling.

FOR THE 3rd time... the nitrous that would enter your intake would not lean out your mixture. there is absolutly nothing to worry about...

Ok ok ok...then why is everyone insisting that CO2 would affect the mixture?

ohh okay... now i understand your confusion...

to put it in simple terms... N20 is very cold and will cool the intercooler. if any makes it into the intake no big deal... the car will make extra power but not so much that it will lean the motor out.

Co2 will cool your intercooler but if any gets into the intake it will hurt your power. C02 entering the engine will result in a power loss.

I guess another way to say it is N20 promotes combustion.... C02 hinders combustion.

hope that makes sense
