SES light came on after hitting 18psi. OVERBOOST??

It was 45F last night and the car was running like a beast and I was spraying the aftercooler with water. When I dropped it in to 4th going about 90mph, the boost gauge pegged and the SES light came on. There was no loss of power, just the light. Is this what happens when the supercharger "over boosts"?

Yep outdid the MAP sensor (upstream or down I can't remember which) will go away with a few restarts, or if you have an OBDII code reader you can erase it that way.

oh and might want to remove the MPH you saw this happen at

Gah the guy was apparently on a closed course. Don't be so **** man. Install a voltage clamp on the TMAP and you won't have that problem.

Just rather not see the thread get locked thats all, **** would have been blasting him for the speed or claim IB4TL, though there are several threads on this very topic already.

IB4TL Why are you encouraging ppl to post their illegal speeds? You just like having threads locked for ignoring the rules???

I have a Spilt Second voltage clamp on my supercharged Benz but never thought aboug putting one on my Mini, since it came with a supercharger from the factory.

My apologizes. I have a voltage clamp that I am not using if you are interested in purchasing one. It's new in the box.

Hey Mario...was that on the closed Pt. Hueneme-BMW loop? I didn't know they opened it back up to the public! LOL. Anyways, I thought you had an ECU tune from FB? They should of addressed that.....If not, the voltage clip will help you out until you get bored and want to go bigger.

Yeap, they opened it up and now I'm free to test my Mini out. I did have the ECU a month before I had the head and cam done. After the head/cam was installed it was re-dyno'd and no adjustments where made to the ECU and the car still gained 41whp. From looking at my dyno air/fuel I know I can squeeze more power out of the car because in many parts my air/fuel is in the the 10's and once in the 9's. I would love to have 11.5 or so across the board.
Whats up with you Justin? Any new mods, did you get the Stoptech's?

A while back Mynes was supposedly working on a three bar MAP sensor for the car. However I no longer see it on there website.

Yeah...9 and 10's are no good. 11.5 sounds great to me... You need to squeeze away. More power is good. A little OT: I'm here in SLC until Wed. Cage and BBK still sitting in my living room but will be installed when I get back. FYI...I almost bought a turbo last night(GT3076R) good to 525hp under Spillman's recommendation. Local in Phoenix too! I'll start with it and if it doesn't work...try another one! Back on topic..............................

You will just have to learn to brake boost from a roll.
