The crank pulley upgrades have stood the test of time. There are hundreds of cars with thousands of street and track miles who have had no negative effects. You will see the occasional bolt that was not torqued correctly or the installer didnt use locktite which will cause the bolt to loosen and the pulley become mis-aligned. If you are comparing the crank pulley install to the s/c pulley install, it is easier. You will need a belt tensioner tool, the factory crank pulley removal tool, and the factory crank pulley installer. An impact gun helps to if when removing that bolt. I believe Webb has a how-to.

You will feel the results if you have a sensative booty. The revs will climb a little quicker too.

I am not familiar with the alt pulley. But I've never seen ill effects of not using one, so save your money.

We installed a complete set on a PSMINI members MCS about sox months ago. We put a 15% Pulley, 5% Alt Overdrive and 2% Crank Pulley. Our installer purchased the MINI OEM crank pulley for this job, needless to say it broke so we used a generic puller. The Alternator pulley was easy, and with just the tool breaking being only isse. The owner of the MCS loves the change and would do it again if he had to.
