Do all mini's have rev limiters?

I havent had my mini CS for long and finaly gave it a good blast today.I hit what appeared to be a rev limiter a couple of times and wonderd if that is normal ,like do most have them.It was around 7000rpm.
My car has had quite a few mods including MTH software. Its no problem if that is all i reached as i can change gear quite happily before that. But as i wasnt used to the car it just seemed to want to go and go especialy from 5000rpm upwards.(didnt use nitrous)
Quick spec on engine in my car is,
big valve ported/polished head with piper cams
grs intercooler
19% pully with cosworth belt idler
gtt header/racing cat
playmini exhuast
m7 400 injectors
m7 venom nitrous kit
alta cai
quafie LSD
Iridium plugs
MTH remap
other bits etc etc.

Yes all Mini's have Rev Limiters. The MTH Software should have bumped it up to 7200-7300 RPM's from the stock limiter of (I believe) 6800. M7 Tuning currently has software available to bump the rev limiter up to 8150, but the general concensus is that you will get valve float if you spend much time past 7600 RPM's on the stock internals. Then things start smashing into each other that shouldn't be!

Yup the ECU has limits within its lookup tables that limit both RPM and max roadspeed. Many tuning companies raise these limits in their new table loads.

fozworth,
Yes, all MINIs come with rev limiters. Aftermarket companies sometimes modify these rev limits.

With the 19% pulley it is not necessary to rev higher than the 7200-7300rpm range because you just get into the adiabatic range of the supercharger/intercooler system where you are heating the incoming charge more than the intercooler can cool it. Therefore you are putting hot air into the cylinder and losing power. The supercharger is also drawing more power at the increased rpms.

This is more clearly covered on the Eaton web site. You can find the graphs that show the most efficient range of opperation.
