Tuls did you hafta to cut into the front brace to mount that ic? I was considering using a 6"x24" any particular reason you went bigger?( ie minimum requirements for IC temps)

are you talking about THIS ONE! LOL...

uh yeah... I cut it... that pic was the ruff cut... I made it much nicer after...

with ICs bigger is better, running minimum requirements for me is never the way I do things... I go with worst case senario.... the one I have is good for 700... if I am making 400 then it will only work better and more efficiently... Boost drop? boost drop only occurs before the box is full... so maybe... what 500 RPM difference if it was 6 inches insted of 12... once the box is full there is no boost drop.. and I get much kewler air...

I would say if you are only looking to make 300 MAX then 24 x 6 X 3 would be ok... but I would still prefer something like I have...

hey tuls, lookin good man! i wish i still had the mini to do my own interpretation of the turbo only setup. My only reservation with your design is that you cut the crash support beam... that kinda scares me when your going faster because of your cooler charged air

yeah but I'll be welding in the IC to that same beam.. so the IC which is huge will be come the bumper support! LOL... and it's bigger so it will spread out the impact LOL... riiiiight...

hahah, yeah....... its a multi-purpose design, cooler charge and improved crash resistance

My JDM s2k has reinforced bumper supports... when installing the intercooler you need to plum the tubes and wiring around it! and it also has about 3-4 feet of room between the bumper and motor... space thats a bit lacking in the MCS :D

Again, its lookin sweet

Not to get too off-topic, but have you seen the 2JZ-GTE engine swaps into the s2k? Look it up its pretty intense... (NOTE: 2JZ-GTE = 93-98 Supra TT engine)
