Samco Sport Induction Hose

I was just wondering if anyone was running one of these. I just got one today, it's pretty nice, but required a lot of trimming where it goes to the airbox.
It was a little cheaper than the Alta hose at $71.00 plus shipping. I'll try to post pics soon.

I have one...

Is it the Forge/Samco one you are talking about? Because mine is written Samco & Forge on it...

Anyway, yes, it did require some trimming, but nothing big, and it fits great!

I paid mine 50$ from a local speedshop that ordered it for another MINI owner, but the guy never showed up to pick it up!

Cool.
Mine doesn't say Forge/Samco, it just says Samco Sport in the same places as yours.

Does it looks the same??

Because mine clearly states Forge/Samco on it... The clamp (if it's what the name is lol) hides the Samco part...

However, I does the job and performs really well... Especially for the price I paid!

You got yours installed yet??

The one I have is black, and the same color blue as yours on the inside.
In your pic, it looks like your hose has a smaller diameter right before the clamp to your airbox. Is it just the angle of the pic?
I do have it on, but I think I will trim it a little more tomorrow.

The Samco hose has been out for quite a while now, at least a year. It's better looking and looks more carefully constructed than ALTA's piece, at a lower price too. It fits on the TB and airbox tight enough you can get away without running a hose clamp too if you feel rebellious!

Probably the angle of the picture...

I don't know about the Alta exact diameter, but mine is a little bit bigger than stock.

It's nice to have the SC whine back inside. I was running an HAI for a little while just to see how it was.
I plugged the inlet to the lower part of the airbox with a 2" Fernco cap and eliminated the "intake muffler".

There will be more changes to come.
