Stupid me

Well the road to hell is paved with good intentions. So when my girlfriend asked me to change the oil in our mini today after a long day at work I said "sure honey".
When i went to take off the canister i found out that my nice new oil catch can was in the way so i removed it and tipped it upside down to be able to get the cansiter out. Stupid me forgot to drain it before taking it off!! now there sounds like their is an litre of oil in my throttle body
Any ideas of how to get it out, without taking the throttle body off. Any help would be appriciated

ps anyone who says oil catch cans dont work should come listen to me throttle body

Question. Why is your OCC near your TB, and why would you tip it upside down, and why were the hoses disconnected?

Where was the can mounted? On my mini, the can is mounted behind the hood latch to the left of the super infront of the engine mount.
Or rather ontop of the engine ground wire.

I would think that the oil already got down into where its not suposed to be, so using a sponge in the throttle body would do nothing. You are going to have to take the whole intake track out and clean it all up, i recomend carb/throttle body cleaner. Removing/cleaning everything is not that big of job, though i only did it once when i first got my oil catch can (it was oily in there).

Is this similar to the "banana in the tailpipe" trick?

Something to be said for mounting the OCC in the left vent area (facing car)
