Drivetrain Ethical Dyno #'s
I am utterly shocked, ok I exaggerate a bit, but still I would have never imagined seeing the word ‘ethical’ in NAM especially in performance mods. Did someone else used it before, didn't bother searching...lol
Why?
My first encounter with engineering, economic and environmental ethics was this September in Sustainable Electrical Systems MSc here at EdinburghUniversity
So we must’ve reached a point were the market and engineering potential is reaching its limits if we agree that there are any. This might be the case for various reasons i.e. engineering charlatans (physical limitation) and community warily to dyno runs or not (ethic social limit).
I strongly feel that “ethical” is being introduced as “deus ex machine” for everything in our days. As if we were in the wrong way so far and we need to address things in a more universal approach.
Needless to say that M7 has now has produced amongst other great things the best thread in my knowledge so far……well done for your products, all of them….lol

Just curious are they both SAE corrected readings ? I see the first Dyno sheet states SAE but , the second one does not state the fact... I know that makes a difference in trying to get a correct evaluation but , this is a topic that has been discussed on many Forums , one that comes to mind readily is the BimmerForums.Com , Forced Induction Forum... Much doubt and name calling can happen when big WHP numbers are published even when a dyno sheet is shown for we use a DynoJet here and in Australia the may use a Mustang or a Dynopak at Dinan and we all know if we test the same car with the exact same conditions and run it on the three Dyno's before mentioned you will get Three sets of Different numbers. I think the dyno is a good begining tool that can get your tune into the ballpark but , then the operator has to go drive the car to finish the job it seems. I am no expert by any means , not like a bunch of you that have already spoken up from your professional experience , I just have owned and do own cars that are Supercharged and Turbocharged ( Not a Mini yet ) that are pushing the limits and they are always put on the Dyno to see what is what at first and then driven to finalize the tune . BUT, there are all kinds of people that are out there that think the Dyno #'s are the end result and I am sure there are those people out there that would automatically use the higher #'s to proove their Mod's create more results but , as someone stated earlier evntually , I think, those who chose to not be completely forthcoming will be found out eventually for this is a small community of people in all actuality....
