Very nice, Don! Thanks for adding to the options we have--especially with a true integrated design, with removable cat. BTW, where's the flex joint--I truly believe one is needed in the system since the engine moves sufficiently to cause serious problems with solid systems.

cheers,

Looks like a serious contender to me. If I had an S I think I'd be on the waiting list already.

This looks like a good flex joint to me.

I'm not quite sure what "street tough" means.
I run it without the valance; one will be made and I'll offer it as an option.
You need to lengthen all 3 O2 sensors: Mini & optional wide band. It's easy.
You wouldn't want to change the basic design by fitting another system to it as it was designed to run the way it was built by Stahl.
It was street t-h-o-u-g-h not tough.

Meaning 4 into 1 and a short collector. Usually high rpm design factors.
Very nice looking unit Don. Nice addition to the market for sure.

If you'd like a 4-1 collector you can get one. It will even lengthen the primaries by 2". I, however, favor the split collector as it is designed to help with the flat spot.

My apologies Don.
This pic

Looks like a 4-1 setup.
I was puzzled to because you had said you were doing a 4-2-1.
I just reread your site and saw that 4-1 was an option.

Still very interested in this system. For vanity reasons a clean solution for the rear valance would be nice but what concerns me more is extending the O2 leads. Done improperly with either bad connectors or bad soldering it will be very easy to add impedence to the wiring. This could through off readings to the ECU.
Thoughts please.

flex joint ?

If that's the flex joint, then where's the cat? It cant be the resonator to the left in the photo as that's not removable. In the photo, the only thing removable is what you're calling a flex joint. And that would be a bad place for a flex joint in a MINI.

I've come across O2 sensor lead extensions a few times - plugs on both ends.....though I can't remember who had them.

From left to right in the photo: CAT, flex joint, collector. The flex joint is actually in the proper location.
If done correctly, there is no when issue splicing wires to lengthen them.

The flex joint looks removable, how about the cat?

Don, are there any plans to offer this system for the cabrio with the requisite bend to get around the extra rear bracing?
