Already have LSD = Price Break on JCW Kit??

If you have a car with LSD from the factory, does that get you a price break if in the future, you order the JCW kit, since the dealer wouldn't have to remove your differential and install a new one?

I know that the factory-LSD option has only been around for a few years, so if the dealer has no experience with this kind of retrofit, what's a good discount to ask for? I figure the parts and labour to install an LSD can't be cheap. $1200? $1500?

Thanks,
Scott

when you buy the add-on jcw kit it does not include the lsd. The lsd comes on a factory equipped jcw car but not one which had the jcw bits retrofitted.

You only get the engine parts with the retrofit.

I think the LSD is only offered with the JCW Factory Kit. If you purchase the add-on the LSD isn't included.

Thanks, guys. Someone else confirmed the same thing for me on a different site, and when I came back here to delete the thread, I already had two responses!

You all rock!

And you can't add the factory LSD to the non-LSD tranny. You either have to swap for an LSD tranny or find a compatible aftermarket LSD. Either way is pretty expensive. Aftermarket LSD's can easily cost $1k for the part alone.
