My Quicksilver exhaust seems to stick out the back of the car about a 1/2" more when it is hot than when it is cold. When I park after driving, it sticks out about a 1/2" more than it does then when I come out and have a look after about 30 minutes. I have checked if it is sliding around by pushing gently but firmly on the tip and nothing. I've had it installed for over a month now. I haven't noticed any performance problems. I was just worndering if this is normal.

Here's some pictures.

Hot (notice the dirt that is visible)

Cold (notice the dirt is not visible now)

I'm curious what y'all have to say.

Ok, let me be the first to say that absolutely NO BONER JOKES ARE ALLOWED.

That's really interesting! Maybe the metal just expands that much. (shrug)

That's the only theory I have. I'm no metal worker, but it just seems like quite a bit of expansion.

My thought would be don't worry about it. Metal expands as it heats up. I've noticed the same phenomenon with my Magnaflow. As long as I don't have any vibrations or sensation that the system is loose I'm going to ignore this finding. Just my two cents...

His, Chile Red all over/ Hers, Electric Blue and Union Jack on top.

It's perfectly normal. Metal expands when hot.

I'm very observant. That dirt in the picture is what did it. I'd clean the tip off, then there would be dirt all of the sudden.
