Alta Turbo kit

I just received the kit within a week time and finished the installed. The kit is well designed and bolted up nicely with lots of room left in the bayI highly recommend it for the (DIYERS,tuner and would be a walk in the park for the PROS).

Well done Alta for designing a user friendly kit

It must be great!!

I know it is powerful, but how exaclty?

Does it pull that hard, especially on low-RPM range??

Eastsidemini, How does the kit feel right out the box? Night and Day? Im still thinking about it. Just such a BIG investment What do you feel was the hardest part of the install?

Aloha from Hawaii (Twincharged)

Sorry guys, havn't been on NAM for a few days This is the 1st turbo system i've work on and half the installed time was to make sure all hoses are protected properly. The installed was easy right out of the box, if someone worked with turbo setup before, my guess for the installed time for the entire project is 8-10 hours including changing out the pulleys.

I am currently waiting for the AGS V.3 tube to hook up the turbo intake and DFIC to hook up the boost source.

It will be quite a different setup from other TC guys because I'm running Cosworth stage head/cam with AGS and DFIC. I think it will be a fun ride after all.

Good Idea running with the AGS Tube. Im looking forward to seeing how that turns out for you. Will you be using the stock Throttle body?

Eastsidemini or Cliff, do you know if the Alta kit can fit on an automatic as well as a manual Cooper S? I assume the kit was built to fit on a manual, but wonder if it can be applied to an auto as well. I assume this without taking into consideration if it would harm any other components on the car such as the transmission etc. if fitted. Just that it CAN be compatible.

What is the AGS v.3 tube and the DFIC? Where is the BOV located? I saw a pic of the kit installed on a web site and did not see the BOV. Does the BOV vent into the atmosphere or is it recirculated back into the intake?

Bov

Ags V.3 is Air gain intake system from M7, the tube is a newly designed cnc machined aluminum tube located between the throttle body and the SC best intake $$$$ can buy for performance.

DFIC is the latest top mounted intercooler also from M7rock solid. Now combine all that will the turbo PRICELESS

I forget to answer your questionIt's been a long day
The Alta BOV is located between the throttle body and the intake pipe to the turbo inlet. It will be vented to the atmosphere.
