How will it ultimately be attached to the bonnet?

The prototypes are with the developer , Samtrack, for final adjustment and sign off. He is currently unable to work on the project due to work requirements and should be back on the case the beginning of august I beleive. He may post up some other info if he has a chance but that is the way I understand the situation to be at this point.

Ohh so it more for show than use?

When you remove it, can you fill in the holes, or are these more of a permanant thing?

As previously mentioned, the blue painters take makes a nice "personal" touch! What happened to your windshield wipers? Or have they never been there and I am so unobservant that I am just now noticing?

Sorry for leaving you with a downpour of questions...

So was this development at the cost of spending the entire summer on the racing circuit or is it possible to actully develop great products without entirely alienating your customer base as another supplier has done.

(yes the above comment is full of sarcasm and bitterness, I've already been told by my wife)

Keep up the good work M7!!!!!
You're keeping it real.

These are obviously for venting hot air not bringing in cool air correct? If so are you guys doing anything as far as comparing temps with and without? Do you have any pics looking staright at the car instead of to the side?

Thanks man

Thanks for the pics Randy.
I am smack dab in the middle of the road as well as teetering on the fence with these. There is just something that I can't pinpoint. To me they just don't look smooth or "clean" enough. I know not every mod will be pleasing to the eye, and that form follows function. I would have to have these things "worked" to be blended into the hood so that it would have the appearance that someone just punched louvers in the hood. Maybe it's just me.
I have been working on fabbing one for the middle of the hood, right towards the back of the "bump" that runs down the center.

Question

Ok, I understand that these help vent hot air from under the hood but aren't they also going to allow water/rain water to run into your engine compartment? That can't be good...

I agree with you on many points . This is certainly a function first mod and not for the squeemish LOL . The pluses are realtively easy install, inexpensive and functional. The minus is realy only visual in it would be difficult to get away from the " added on " look. You have to be willing to commit with this race piece , there is no half steppin LOL . I have had a plan in the back of my mind to louver my hood the old fashioned way as we have pleanty of auto custom houses in the neighborhood that have been doing it for years. The minus with that is not so much the cost of the metal work, but you have to add in a entire repaint of the hood. Like you I am 50 / 50 on these peices for my car so we will see.
