Nology Hotwires

Has anyone installed Nology wires on an '06 JCW? Was there a noticable difference in performance? Is the Nology type wire compatible with the Mini warranty?

Hotwires will only get you one or two HP max, and only until they start wearing down like normal wires. 1 or 2 HP is less than 1% of power gain for about $200.

If any damage is caused by the wires, it will not be covered by warantee legally.

If your dealer sees the wires, they may blame unrelated problems on the wires, and refuse to cover other issues under warantee.

Aftermarket mods area always at your own risk, or under the warantee of the manufacturer of the aftermarket part.

Gratz on your 06 JCW. Take care of it.

Nology hotwires work, but only the red ones, as they go very well with the JCW logo colors. I have black ones on my '05 MCS and they added absolutely no HP at all. I also added a red MSD coil, which had a similar impact on HP, but again would add considerably to a JCW car.
Go for it!
cheers,

it's a known fact that red is the fastest colour. The only reason a cooper S is faster than a Cooper is cos of the three red S badges.

Paisley wires are the FASTEST. AND they are almost impossible to catch.
If you want wires, save some money & get a set from Helix. They may not look the same but they are just as good IMHO.

There is a write-up here about "CAPACITOR EFFECT WIRES with grounded metal braiding over jacket" that may be helpfull. Hope this helps -- Johan
