Let's put it this way, the pearl Cosworth MINI has the system and the sound is incredible, deep clean sound without any ricey pitchy resonances. The power, torque and tip-in throttle response is the best I have tested.
Here is a pic with the polished tips and a comparison pic with M3 tips. I will take some shots underneath if there is an interest. The only installation issue that some will have is at the connecting point one foot beyond the resonator (one into two pipes); it is advisable to use a sleeve there instead of a U-bolt since the latter will clunk against the tunnel.

I am very satisfied with the fit/finish, performance, and sound characteristics --as some of you heard at the Dragon or read about here:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=69420

Congrats, Chris, I like the black ceramic coat.

Very nice sound. One of the better I've heard.

Now somebody do the current production unit please

Don't know if it's the angle of the shot or not but those tips look too low. There's quite a gap b etween them and the rear fascia.

I like the sound idling! How is the sound in the cabin at freeway speed?

DrCoop, hey another LB MINI! Nice white also.

Try this angle (following Msfitoy at the Dragon) and compare it to M3's gap in the previous post. These are big tips (3.5 in. dia.) and only 1.25 down from the facia opening. Given my suspension set up, they can't be squeezed all the way to the top.

just wondering, will the final product ( the video's car one's is not the final product, is it?) sound be different? also, sound level wise or law wise, is it "safe" to go without resonator with this system? any more pics or video?! i'm starving for it.

Looks and sounds great!

Peter - what's the planned MSRP after the intro pricing? We've got a DS/B MCS on the way and had planned to wait for it to arrive before buying (more) mods for it. We could be talked into one now if the deal is that much better.

Does it need to be welded for the install? I installed my WMS exhaust in about 1.5 hrs, with 3 wrenches

I really want to hear a full range rev, and a driveby.

That looks better.

I saw the car at the Dragon but I wasn't looking at the exhaust

The video is VERY close to final with pehaps a few DB lower in volume. No system that I am aware of will be " legal " DB wise without a resonator. I still have my Borla race system on with out the reso and I set off car alarms constantly.

No welding necessary, 1.5 hrs ? Put down the beer and use both hands LOL

We heard the exhaust in the parking lot at Fontana for MOTD, where that pic was taken. It was louder than our MillTek, but sounded very nice!! I would have paid more attention had I known it was an upcoming product. There was so much other cool stuff to look at on the car.

Just wondering, why is the "Cooper S" on the other side? Why not just leave it like it was (on the right side) and put the Cosworth Powered on the left side? I'm guessing you just wanted it to be a little bit "more" unique!??

Anymore vids? Those vids were so loud it seemed to mess with the camera. It's really up between the Webb and the M7 here. I really like the fact that i can make someone deaf with the Webb. I like the price of M7 alot better. They both look nice to me... the M7 seems a little more aggressive which is what I'm going for, but the Webb looks more refined... WOW how IRONIC! LOL! The sound though is still pretty up in the air. The Webb sound was documented very well, and I believe if I (we) had more sound availible to aid us in the choice, I might be inclined to go for it.

Thanks

Mikey

Yea....$730 is MUCH better than $1,000+, but the exhaust are both amazing. I would also like to see much more in depth "documentation" like you said, which the WMS exhaust has.

At this time the system price is $ 729 for either the black powdercoated tips or polished. As we are just ramping up production we do not have a time set yet for the end of the intro price . Get them while they are cheap

Wow, I wish I had money now before they start going up in price....sadly, it'll be at least until next year (probably Febuary) before I could save up enough to get this....and by then the price will probably increase quite a bit. Oh well....

Is your shop open this Friday for me to swing by and "hear" it in person?

The next batch of exhaust systems will not be in until later this week and they are all being shipped out ASAP. When we have one installed on a local car I will post that info if that helps .

Hey

Will you be planning on shipping this exhaust to the UK?

We just finished up a new component for the system . As most exhausts sound louder with the Cabrio we have a additional resonator available at a charge of $50 to take care of this issue. This would be a second resonator inline . It is of a high flow type so will not adversly affect performance to any noticable degree.
