aFe CAI

Yeah, I have their CAI in my MCS. This CAI woke up my mini. Installed after 2800 miles. Now have 8900miles..smooth so far....no problems...nice quality...easy 30 min install..actually only took me 20 min. I highly recommend it....

I am also interested in any first hand info on this intake. Is there anyone out there who is using or has used the aFe intake? Good or bad reviews are welcome.

I will have to assume that from the lack of responce to any aFe question that they are not used and must not be worth the money/time to buy or istall. One thing that I have been noticing from pics of the aFe system is that the filter looks much smaller than other CAI filters, is this the case or just the way the pics were taken?

aFe sent me a filter (blue fabric, conical in shape) to test with my Alta CAI. I tried it and it was quieter, but no noticable difference in temperatures or SOTP power.
Generally, I like the foam filters as they are very easy to clean.

Thanks for the info DrPhil. That is another point that I haven't fully made up my mind on yet, Foam or fabric. I will continue to look for info on this. Thanks again.
