The systems that I've seen that are the best of both worlds, are double, and sometimes triple the price of the RWM exhaust, and only exist for a handful of small displacement engines. Granted...I would love it if the exhaust sounded just a tad aggressive, yet boasted 3" piping. Of all of the exhausts that I have tried in my 10+ years of tuning Hondas...there was only one that I tried/heard that I thought could boast excellent flow, and excellent sound.

All the others were compromises on this design.

I do agree with what you are saying Spider, and I can understand you complaints with the process...but I think a 3" exhaust that will be the best of both worlds is years down the road...perhaps even more, or perhaps it's just not possible, and we'll always have to deal with a compromised system...only time will tell. But until that time arrives (and I hope it does) I'm willing to compromise on sound quality for performance...many others aren't, and that's all about personal choice.

If you is, you is, and if you ain't you ain't...I think that's what this whole thread comes down to.

It's great to hear that you are happy with the system!

I said to the folks who have adopted this piece that it isn't for everyone - yet. We will have this system dialed in perfectly.

Therein lies the cost. We don't just throw it together and call it good. I have bought 10 different systems, bought two different jigs, and spent countless time shipping and testing set ups and mufflers. In addition, the system has inherent cost due to materials - 1.5mm wall tubing, tig welding, mandrel bends, muffler packing materials, 3" tubing, stainless fasteners, Accuseal clamps, 3 bolt flanges, etc.

The cost is what we are trying to avoid going up. We are bringing it in house to reduce cost then add the resonator and valve. Hopefully we will end up with the unit costing similar to what it does now with a sound I am happy with.

I installed another today here in LA without the header, and I really like the sound. Both SpiderX and Bruce have headers and WMS heads - it is loud with that set up. We will end up with a system that works on all cars, but it isn't there yet. I only released these to folks who knew where we were and what they were getting. I am continuing to work on it, as noted above.

As for folks not liking it - that's the nature of human experience! Vive la difference! If you like it great, I do too, and if you don't, call me - I bet I can help you find a system that works for you. If you are happy with what you already have - great too!!! Let's play nice .

Hope that helps. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks,
Randy

Randy, what would you compare a non-header car with the WMS exhaust to? The borla race? non-resonated Milltek?

It sounds really deep and throaty right now, I think it'd be best with a resonator to silence it up a bit, just imagine how loud the open position will be . Granted, its 3" piping so its going to be loud regardless. Anyways, Randy have you considered making a quad-tip exhaust, it looks sexy... I used Coop d'etat 's pic (i hope he doesn't mind)...

Basically, this it about as far out as you can go the way the exhaust is right now...

And this is what I think looks the best
