Drivetrain 20hp?
yeah and with gas prices going up it seems like i need all the money i can get........its funny all my g/f always complianed i paid too much attention to my cars..... even girls that i'm not going out with say that!

With my 15% pulley I did ~170whp, pre-pulley I did ~160whp. Helix has posted that their 19%/Injectors/GIAC makes ~30whp so I'm hoping to break 200whp with my intake and exhaust.
From my understand the WMS pulley is "best" because the design makes for easy flawless installations, it has built in cooling and the groove pattern provides for better belt grip to prevent slipage and better belt longevity. Thats what Randy's claims were anyways.
The smaller size of the 19% pulley suposidly puts a little bit too much bend on the belt, thus reducing belt longevity.
Suposidly any pulley over 16% exceeds peak efficiency at high rpms, and you end up making more heat than power (at high rpms), the smaller pulleys will still create more boost earlier.
I haven't heard any people complain about 19% pulleys, although you should be aware of the potential downsides.

so I figure I'll get some powerslots and some less dusty pads so I won't have to break my back cleaning my white rims when I get them that is...

and supposedly the smaller pulleys put out more boost..end of story..the cars pull hard...lot harder than 15...

If so, how do you like it?

1) Eric from Helix says that the 19%/injectors/GIAC cool the engine greatly or something... Maybe I misread this from before, but it was something to that extent.
2) Eric also says that he's seen the same number of snapped belts from 15% as he has from 19%.
That said, there are two side. You really have to choose which tuner you want to listen to.
That said. I've never heard a complaint about a 19% pulley owner and everybody says they pull much harder.

How about an early wedding gift like the Advans or the Brembos?

~$63 or so each
But, yes, it is pretty priceless, but I also have to have self-control. She's basically leaving the cookie jar open. It's my job to not endanger our livelihoods.

) GIAC for $325. Hopefully, the 19% hub will come in tomorrow and I'll be able to get the GIAC this friday when I go back to Houston. If I was doing it from a fresh start:
Pulley + Install $350
Injectors $250
GIAC $325
Total $925
Pulley + Install $350
Pulley is your choice. I went with helix because I like the look (this really doesn't matter, but I had no other way to decide since everybody said they were all the same) and I was afraid I might want to go 19%... Self-fulfilling prophecy I guess... You could wait for Randy's pulley party or you can find a shop that will do the pulley install and use their pulley.
JCW Injectors $250
GIAC $325
I have a GIAC tuner by me. I'm sure you'll have one in Southern California also.
You can do MTH, but you'll need the MTH program and then the cable... which will run $400+ total, but they do have some other interesting features like letting the revs drop quickly, reducing the intrusiveness of DSC, etc. The only thing I don't like about MTH is it seems like they're just stabbing in the dark. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they don't.
Total $925
I also assume that you're doing the injector installation yourself.

Not to jack the thread but what parts would guys recomend for a JCW to make more power, I've considered a new IC, a 2% crank pully, a headder, and MTH ecu upgrade. What do you guys think. I wanted it to stay very realiable, so I want to be in the safe zone, Maybe one day I'll change the pistons and go big just not now. Maybe 230 WHP is this realialbe.

Sell your JCW and buy MSFIT's car.
I'd say skip the MTH if you really want 230whp since you'll probably want a Unichip or an apexi. I'd go straight for a head just because it seems like it's where you're going to get most of your power to get to 230whp.
