well, then injectors will be a cinch. Just make sure to release all the pressure or you'll get some gas sprayed on your face.

[edit] I just checked, you have 11 GIAC dealers in the southern california area.

Mine hasn't enven come in yet, last week of may. If i'd had know 3 weeks ago I would have seriously considered Misfits car, by the way, why is he getting rid of it. His car is one of the cleanest I've seen. Any way are you talking about the apex super AFC. The JCW comes with a port and polish head, at least they say it does. Its supose to be 207 BPH but from what I read it only puts down around 180 WHP if I could get 210 WHP I might be happy, just as long as I don't have to worry about the motor blowing up or something like that.

PS I'm not new to this I've been building fast Honda/ Acura and nissan for a few years but the mini is a diffrent beast.

Yeah, the apexi S-AFCII is what I was talking about, but it seems like a shame to destroy your warranty the second you pick it up... There's no way you're going to get away with keeping your warranty intact and getting 230whp. That said, you could sell or not keep yours, take msfit's and drop even more money on it.

There should be more, 11 dealers. You're probably thinking of the main office? Go to Giacusa.com and go to sale then dealers. For goodness sakes, they break it up into LA county, San Diego County, Orange County, Riverside County, and each place has at least 2 places.

I own a car audio and peformance shop, so none of our cars really stay under warranty. The thing is with Honda's you know its going to last and if any thing ever happend I deal with so many other people picking up an engine is like $400 and a 10 min drive. I could have bought a EVO or some really fast from the factory but I've wanted a mini for at least 2 and a half years. Now that I'm getting one I can't have it getting beat by my friends in there Honda civic's with 200hp Prelude engines. I know it won't stand a chance against the turbo civic's in town But I at least want to represent for mini.
I want it to be fast but realiable, I know it can be a fine line, I just don't want to be on the edge of the line. I hope you get what I'm saying, seeing the face of some body that just got beat by a cute pimp mini would be priceless.

I want a Monster Mini (Evil Laugh) HA,HA,HA,HA,HA,HA

I guess what I'm saying is that if I were going to mod myself, I would have spent a premium to keep my warranty because that's essentially what the JCW is buying you. You could've gone twincharged for the cost of JCW and destroyed those turbo civics at least some of them...

Looking at the site, there should be one close to you, right?

I know. I keep a spreadsheet of everything I've done and it racks up quick. I'm hoping to stop soon because I need to save money and because I don't need my parents harassing me about how much money I'm wasting when I'm working on the car in their driveway.

I think you'll be able to take the civic with a prelude, mainly because i doubt it's that fast. 200bhp (Is that how much prelude engines make?) with no torque isn't going to beat a Mini w/ a 19%/injector/GIAC. That's only the beginning though... I'm sure your friends also have some other mods.

What year is your MCS, mcsdmn?

... That's a bit harder, mainly because all he needs to do is up his boost. I'm assuming it's a non-STi wrx? Become a better driver?

Be content that you chose the better car. When he takes off, take off with him then slam on your brakes so he thinks he's pulling on your like a freight train. Then have him race that 5.0 mustang.

You are not going to get 230whp from the supercharger. You wont get 200whp without any headwork. However, 19%, GIAC, injectors and HAI have worked flawlessly for me for the past 6 months. I first started with the 19% with the HAI and then got the GIAC and injectors later. The 19 was by far the biggest change in performance, the injectors and GIAC were felt, but only in the upper tach range, it certainly wasnt night and day like the pulley. However, i could feel it was a bit smoother and i appreciated the raised rev and limiter removed. These are the best bang for the buck, IMHO. If your feel like finishing out the package, for el cheapo, keep lookin in the marketplace. I picked up a used exhaust for real cheap, which will complement my impending turbo installation...

MINIotaple: I'm jealous that your fiance doesn't mind about the direction you send your money.

Misfit: Its sad to see you leave, i've always liked your car. Its very clean and minimalist, which is right up my street!

The JCW spray pattern is matched well for the mini. but I do believe there are some new dual cone 380cc injectors from Bosch that are a bit cheaper and are better suited for the mini than the previous Bosch injectors. I would call or PM Eric at Helix, I believe has done a good deal of testing on these.

I talked to erix at helix and when I asked him he said the only reason to get the helix 380cc injectors is because it's cheaper, but since mymini has the JCW for $250 that arguement goes out the door.

Randy Webb's thoughts about pulley reductions...

I think Randy Webb's advice here is pretty on target...

http://store.webbmotorsports.com/ind...in_page=page_3

If you're not concerned about being at risk with your warranty and/or at risk with reliability, 17% and 19% (or anything >15%) all sound like lots of fun, but the preformance edge over 15% is still questionable. Statistically, reliability still points to 15%.

What other mods are you considering? Breathing is a system, you might want to consider improving it all, not just the speed of the supercharger.

STAITSTICLY?!?!??!?1

WTF!?!?

Please show me some STATISTICS, a RECENT SURVEY/STUDY, that backs up your statement!!!! OR GET OFF THE BOARDS!!!!

Seriously...do you think they would make the pulley's still after thousands of people have put hundreds of thousands of miles total on these cars if they shredded superchargers left and right!??!?!

Damn man, and like some of the other people said, they have just as many shredded BELTS on 15% as 19%...
