Drivetrain engine revs in 6th gear at 75mph?

engine revs in 6th gear at 75mph?

weird question but i'm sure someone here knows the answer immediately....cruising on highway where do the revs sit if in a JCW doing about 75-80 mph?....i assume 1.6l 4cylinder its well above 3k revs?

its not well over. im thinking 3250rpm @75mph in 6th.

Non-JCS MCS is around 3200 rpm between 75-80.

3500 rpm at 75 mph. I have 215/40-17 tires, though.

From MINI2, just solve the equation for R

G = 3.126 for 05+ cars

S = R * 60 * 3.14159 * (W * P / 100 * 2 / 25.4 + D) / 12 / 5280 / G
R = RPM of engine [4750 Diesel - 6750 all other models]
W = Width of tire
P = Profile (aspect ratio) of tire
D = Diameter of wheel
G = Gear Ratio

thanks....i am considering buying a mcs and wondered how the highwy cruising revs would be for longer distance driving....cheers all

On the stock exhaust, cruising is not bad at all. It's a tad bit noisier with the back seats folded down but we haven't had any issues with 5-6 hour drives.
