Drivetrain 15% pulley on the track review
15% pulley on the track review
Hi all,
I would like to post a brief review of my Alta 15% pulley on the track. first of all, i am happy with it after complaining few days when i just have my pulley installed. actually i am not sure if it's my 15" track wheel's difference or the ECU adopt my pulley, i feel hat my car is pulling a little bit harder and quicker compared to the first day when i pick up my car from the shop with my 17" -lite with the heavy runflats. the heat soak is not too bad at the track for a 20-25 minutes session(however, i tried to shift at around 6krpm to keep the heat down a little bit)
I am running some 205/50/15 Toyo RA-1. but everything else is stock except for the 15% pulley.
i think a video will worth a thousand words. check out this thread for video

actually i passed 2 WRX, one shown on the clip and one doesn't , i don;t think any of them are sti
to be honest, i am not sure on their mod, one of them, it's pretty obvious that it has suspension, exhaust and wheels/tires which is not on the clip, the blue one the clip looks stock, and it has a stock exhaust, however, it doesn;t sounds too stock. but again i am not too sure. one thing i am sure is that, the stock mini handles better, i can brake later and turn in at a higher speed and most imporantly less Braking.. however, i was running some R-compound so that makes a bit differece on handling too.

and i am a newbie at track, this is only my 2nd time going track with my mini, and first time seeing this track. so i doubt i am a good driver, i am just a beginner still got a lot to learn.

Like I have stated in the other thread, it is good to see other mini owners hitting the track! One of these days, I plan to take the mini to the track. But first, I have to worry about other things until then!

We all know WRX or EVO drivers never suck so it must be true.
Just ask 'em.
