JCW Engine kit after purchase of MCS

Hi All,

Has anyone here purchased a Cooper S and installed the JCW engine kit after purchase? If so do you feel it was a good choice? I called three local dealers and all want about 6700 for parts and installation. I just want to know if those who have the kit feel if it is worth the extra cost for 35 more horses.

You've just unlocked a fury of words, emotion and philosophy. Do a search on the topic you mentioned, and decide for yourself.

I doubt you'll get much response to this topic; dare I say that people are finally sick of it? There is much to read, however.

You should be able to get the engine kit installed for $5500 or less.

Where? The Kit lists for $4775 and requires at least 10 hours labor to install.

$6000 to $6200 is the going rate. If your dealer wants more ... try another dealer.

As to the original question ... Just head over to the JCW is CRAP threads and decide for yourself ... no need to have another war in this thread.

Or ask those who have their warranties voided by the dealer for aftermarket mods
