Randy, I disagree with you(for the first time) I love my m7 extreme scoop. My baby is all about "BLING". Your scoop is the best of both worlds "BLING and function.

Also, OldRick does have a point. Sloppy diverters can waste the benefit that larger ICs hope to give. A bigger IC, or the stock one for that matter, isn't that good when the air doesn't go through it. Every aftermarket IC diverter I've seen can use some work.

Matt
Matt that is a excellent idea and as soon as we have cleared up the back order situation I think we can accommodate you. As for combining it with our own diverter that also is a good idea and will be added to our list of things to look into. Unfortunately it is a VERY long list at this time. We have to prioritize our time for R & D and when we complete our current projects within the next few weeks you will see why a diverter is on the back burner .
There is no question that more can be gotten out of the scoop with some" home brew " at this time but isn't that part of the fun? The scoop works great as is but can be made to work better. We don't disagree with that fact at all but then what part on the car can't be further optimized? The only limits are cost, effort and imagination.Only after you add those factors up and then compare it to the results will you know if it was a worthy endeavor or not and even that is of course subjective . Thanks for the post.

ART and the ZEN of waxing!

How about?
1 ) Remove the stock diverter 2) Cut & place a thin aluminum piece over the IC opening 3) wax or tape the hood and IC aluminum piece 4) build up the area around the IC with enough pottery clay to to touch the hood and close it 5) shape it through the scoop 6) Rev the engine to max rock 5) Remove and shave some from the highest point to remove stress create a flange to attach to the IC and (bake to harden?) This should give you a master model from which to make a fiberglass mold of the imobile new air diverter. A flexible seal of foam or rubber sheeting would be added at the top. I was just waxing the car and had designs flowing in my head. Stiil haven't even set aside time to implement. Too many NON-FUN projects around the house to do. John

All I know is that the Extreme Hood Scoop looks real aggressive and thats what I want. It'll definitely bring in a little more air but if your really that concerned about getting every little ounce of air you can into your intercooler effectively, then you would just get a Front mount. There is no more effective setup than a front mount. Webb Motorsports has an awesome one.

Either one GRS Compatible?

Has anyone used either one of these scoops with the GRS? If so, how was the fit – is there any modding necessary?

i have the Ram scoop with the GRS- had to dremel a bit of the GRS flat plastic diverter piece off in the front to get it to lay flat with the new scoop. Not a bit deal.

Same here. Used 3M double stick tape to stick the diverter to the underside of the bonnet at the opening. Plus had to trim some of the foam from the deivers side of the diverter.
