Why? There's no "do-overs" or "that race doesn't count" in any mainstream racing sport I know of such as WRC, F1, NASCAR, IRL, NHRA... Oh, let's stop the SuperBowl since the quarterback just hurt his throwing arm.

IF Randy Webb is soooooooooo good at driving... why doesn't he campaign and get a sponsered ride? If he is keeping up with these 500hp vettes in a sub300hp mini... im sure it would be absolutely no problem for him to get a sponser... MINIUSA sponsored a drag car... maybe they would be interested in sponsering him...

Hell... if randy competed then he might just give tony nuzzo a run for his money...

Also another thing that many of you guys don't realize is that we have a MINI owner out here in AZ who OWNS his OWN PERSONAL RACE TRACK! He built it just for himself... and then he started to rent it to the public... it has been shut down due to noise regulations but he can still personally drive on it...

IMAGINE if you owned your own race track... do you think you might beable to muster up a better lap time than randy or peter... hmm... i would sure hope so...

by the way when he isn't laping the track in his race preped mini... he is lapping it in his Diablo... when that runs out of gas... he takes his enzo... when that runs out of gas the cheap cars come out... his carrera GT... The ford GT... and then his fully prepped S4 race car... and for some slidewayz fun... the viper comes out and lays down some black streaks...

So he is the best and unstopable but you won't take your chances of the reliablity of the car he built... Sounds reasonable seeing as he is on this board for the incredible cars he ha sbuilt... After all he might be racing Schumacher and we have seen how reliable his engine builders are... Seriously get over the fact that you think he is unstoppable. I am sure if Randy wouldhave a different attitude. He can't honestly think he is the best MINI racer in the world... Wouldn't he have some sort of sponsored ride by now? By the way, the guy who bought my MINI has raced and one at Lemans, 24hrs of Daytona, and many other racing events. Think he might know a thing or two about driving, car set up, and reliabilty. Probably not... Its easy to build a car to race for 24hrs.

Somebody suggested a M7 vs. Webb Race. Thats how you got brought into this. Don't worry though, according to the expert "pilot of camels" it doesn't matter if you have Michael Schumacher, Hurley Haywood, David Donahue, Boris Said, Hans Stuch, Ayrton Senna, Fangio, Colin Mcrae, Valentino Rossi, Ditka, Alan McNish, A Penske fielded car, or anyone else I may have missed there is nothing that will ever be faster than Webb.

RED FURY certainly didn't start this little spat by making his above comment... simply stating that he hopes someone can be highly competitive with Randy. motorsports3's response however is provoking, and disrespectful if done intentionally.

Red said what he said based upon Randy's past performances and what he has seen with his own eyes. Quite a few others have similar experiences, based upon reality. On a track, Randy, and his MINI, has been very formidable, and has proven to be very fast, if not the fastest in all MINI/Mini events. So, to ask if someone will be able to outdo him is certainly a reasonable comment/question.

A reply inquiring if this is a joke is condescending, and ignores and discredits what he has accomplished, and many have seen.

I'm sure there are plenty of damn good drivers out there, and probably a good number of those better than Randy Webb; maybe even some running-on private tracks that we are not privy to...

For the vast majority of us, we are just aware of what our senses have told us over the past few years... that Randy is the one to beat on a track.

Is Randy's Mini a Turbokompressor? He sells them. I also heard an unsubstantiated rumor he was planning an install for himself.
