Kellzir, I can't get the sound to work on your videos. I get something about a codec error that was used to compress the file isn't supported.

I just got off the phone with someone at Invidia USA. Apparently the system is less than 2.5". Is stock not 2.25" ? Thats seems kind of price for the little size difference.

Anyone have any hard numbers of the Invidia. It's not listed in the "exhaust info sticky". I rally want this system but am still leaning towards the Magnaflow because of the power it gives over the other systems.

The tubing size on the Invidia exhaust is 60mm which is 2.362 inches. I believe the stock tubing size is 57mm which translates to 2.244 inches.

Also you should consider the size of y pipe and the secondarys after the y.Most companys cut that down substantially to 1-3/4 or less.Noticed the Invidia retains good size secondarys.

So around $650USD for an increase of 0.118 in piping diameter? Also although quite lovely a system those bends restrict flow a little more than others.

The Milteck on the other hand is not quite as pretty design wise but because of that it should flow a little more. Of course it's flowing into 1 3/4 secondaries which kind of sucks.

My conclusion: For $650ish USD I want to see a little power plain and simple! I am going with the Magnaflow system! I will deal with a little more noise for the extra HP for my buck! Plus I just found out I can get it for $775CDN!

Thanks for the thread fellas! Helped make my mind up!

When it comes to $$$ vs. Horse Power all of the exhausts for the MINI's are a poor decision. What are folks seeing (not what the seller says) when it comes to HP gain?? Maybe 3?

I've got the invidia, bought mine for $425 new, picked it up for the tone and the look. Not the HP.

To each his own is the exhaust theory IMO.

I would not waste $600+ on "looks" considering the only thing you see are tips...unless you have a habit of crawling under peoples cars.

The Invidia system is bad *** for sure I wish someone had some dyno info. I just believe I would see more of a gain from the Magnaflow.

magnaflow makes more hp, maybe 2-3 more, but wayyyy tooo louder as well, and not a direct fitment on 05s-06s

Neither would I (see my post ref my cost), additionally you will note it's (looks) was #2 on my list.

As for the Magnaflow, I've heard it and it wasn't for me, certainly not worth the difference between what I paid and what they want for it. Even if you get 5 hp with it as I said making a HP argument when discussing exhuast on a MINI is foolish, there just isn't enough gain to justify the cost.

Good luck and you should really try looking under other folks cars! Never can tell what you might learn

I hear Ya!

I've even changed my struts and springs but went with updated OEM, not that Big money H-Sport

When you say "blacked out" do you mean all the way, like this? Tints, bodyline or have you done more???? BTW, that's my son's car behind mine - nice color huh?

I guess if all the systems put out 5-6 hp, the most economical decision with the best looks and sound would make sense.Besides that, its impossible to get the same car running at the same temp, humidity, altitude, dyno, etc to do a true before and after never mind a different car with different tuning.Any one going to dyno day can figure that out.In the end its a personnel decision, but the Invidia sure sounds good just look for the best deal.

I bought mine off of eBay from a seller down in Miami FL back on November 1st. I just did a search for this seller and can't find him anymore, I might not have his name correct, since all I have is a email address from my paypal account, but you're more then welcome to try. His contact info is bargainpartsbin@yahoo.com

Good luck, I still can't believe what happened on your last deal

$425!!! How the heck did you get that!! I saw you got it on Ebay, but that is very strange due to the fact that we are in very deep with Invidia and that is WAY below cost! No joke fellas! I am happy for you if it is indeed Invidia and not a knockoff.

I also want to let you guys know that as much as I like the Invidia exhaust, there really isn't any catback that gives you incredible gains...

When you buy an Invidia, you should really be looking at about 8-10hp depending on other mods, the best engineering and construction and IMHO sound...nothing sounds quite like this

If you have any questions as I have said before please ask me and I will do my best to offer you a solid response, but I want you guys to know that I am here for you guys and it does me no good to sell you a product you will not be happy with as I want to retain your business for a future relationship! I do not sell anything I do not believe in

I also want to thank everyone that has replied to this thread as I really believe it is a very good quality thread with great suggestions and thoughts!
