As I see it this is all supposition and fun to talk about, but!
.
Roland posted some numbers from his testing that’s great but his components and mine are different. Is there potential here, possibly. There needs to be some base line testing done.
Back to this;
"I have no data yet. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories instead of theories to suit facts."

Sir Arthor Conan Doyle can "below" me!

Starting from a sound understanding of first principles, a lot can be done. Einstein did a lot of what he called "armchair experiments" and "armchair physics" and he got good milage from it. That quote, while catchy, ingores all the good that is done in simulation.

There is a method that works. Start with a postulate or a hypothisis, figure out it's implications, and test for consistancy. If things work, it supports the hypothsis, if it doesn't work out consistantly, there's a problem somewhere. This technique can elucidate a lot of benefit.

Sir Arthur should have stuck to writing Holmes novels.... instead of creating crap quotes like that one.
