YEAH, I agree, I didn't see the "SUICIDE PACKAGE" in my list of options when I ordered my recent MCS. I guess I just only have the old fashioned "hose to the cockpit window." This system seems much more POWERFUL and EFFICIENT.

unlike most people, id rather not spend $700 on a bunch of bent tubing, or $200 bucks on an intake i made for 15 dollars.

I'm willing to bet i can make as much if not more than any system out there simply by taking of the back half of the system and putting a glasspack on.

oh, and in case anyone hadnt noticed, i like building as many of the parts i put on my car not only to save money, but, i can say I MADE IT, instead of "oh, i just bought it and put it on".
I think its great that you like to "build" and do it yourself. I too like to tinker and have had some suceess and failures (regardless its all been fun). If you want to build your own exhaust system - great but this does not qualify because your exhausting underneath your car. Not safe or sound. My comments are not to discourage you building stuff (putting the fun factor aside), you should be honest with the fact that you really have not accomplished your goal of building an exhaust system. 700 for an exhaust system there are alternatives - You could have done a 1-ball exhaust which I started with and is great system. While it may not sound as sexy as some aftermarket systems nor give you new sexy tips, the 1-ball does add performance. And its a viable exhaust system.

I don't know... Band-clamping a muffler to a hacked up stock system pretty much falls in the "bought it and put it on" category. Between this and your lake pipes obsession, I would guess that you're just looking for an annoyingly loud car. Sounds like you've got it.

wow, that was kinda nice

anyways, ive decided that its gonna be cooper style, single sided, after i saw a Skyline recently. an R34. it had a sigle sided exhaust on the drivers side. well, the U.S. drivers side

I need to try and chop up the rest of the stock system or go ahead and bend up a new pipe from the cat back.

i think there is just a bar running across the top of the pipe to hold it to the middle hangar, so that should be easy to replicate on a new pipe.

the only thig i'm stuck on is what side to have the pipe come out of. it would be neat to have it exit on the driver side, but, that would mean making a new rear valence piece. or, just go buy the cooper piece and stock it in for now. that would also make making the pipe easier, all i have to do is match factory bends.

HEADS UP _ its my understanding the the cooper rear valance piece is not the same size as the S piece - so it will not match up at the ends. If someone can confirm or negate - PLEASE do
