Well, you go to summit, buy a muffler, hack that old crap system off at the middle hanger and mount up a muffler!

i think i need to move the muffler back a bit, perhaps to the location of one of the stock ones. its a tad loud in the car as it sits now

i'm thinkin cooper style one sided or make my own dualie...hmmmmm...decisions decisions....

"WHAT? SORRY??? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!! GOING DEAF YOU SEE..."

So, does that mean you don't have the stock muffler or resonator on??? Does that mean your car looks like it has NO exhaust for a normal observer??

hehe, yes, looks like no exhuast. i was hoping to try and hide it and smooth out the back end, like place a filler into the center slot. IDK how i might go about doing that , id probably have to cut up one of my old cooper ones and make a filler, but it should be possible.

i really just gotta get rid of some of the buzzing, the mufler if too close to the floor right now.

lemme uplaod a pic of how it looks from the back side

its kinda like a back massager that changes depending on the pitch of the exhaust note

I like the look of a good exhaust tip.....why don't you go a bit of single oval action:

Perhaps DTM?

Get one made in titanium and then get them to heat it up so it goes blue:

I'm happy with my exhaust - might just change the tips. I know a couple of guys that rally their cars down here, and have tried a few different aftermarket exhausts - and weren't impressed. They said the toughest exhausts they've used were the stock ones...

That would be funny. Or you could smooth out the back end. Get rid of the cut out for the tips.

Don't forget the PBA (Personal Breathing Apparatus) that you'll need since your CO level in the cabin is likely to spike when you're sitting at a stoplight...

Looks interesting. I guess I prefer the traditional look of the exhaust better. What's the point of getting a tip to hang there and then hide the actual exhaust. Why don't you just get a tip to put on the exhaust. Maybe I'm over analyzing this...

I guess that's a cheap exhaust mod. It'd be interesting to see the HP gains.

well, its straight out, minimal backpressure and it flows nicely.

and it sounds kick *** to boot!

i was never a fan of full exhausts, the only car of mine that really had one past the axle was my vette, and that wasnt out of choice.

id really like to do a sidepipe on the cooper, but with the plastic on the side, it might be kinda hard

A side pipe would look hot on the Cooper. I'm sure a body shop could work something up for you... It may cost as much as the MINI, but it'd look hot. Plus, you'd be the only one with it!

yes, ive seen that one before, very nicely done too.

i want to use some either lakewood or some patriot sidepipes like from an old hotrod. it would be nice if i could simplly wrap it in heat wrap, and go, but it might not be that easy. plus, i'll burn my leg every time i get out like in a vette

how about some of these out the sides?

Maybe you just need more than just one or two:

Your next mod could be a spoiler, perhaps?

See...he's got sidepipes too!
