Crank pulley

On ebay if you do a search for mini cooper pulleys - a bunch of lightened crank pulleys appear. Some (not all) reflect wieght - 1.4 lbs, 1.6 lbs.

here is one example -

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-M...spagenameZWDVW

Stock is 7.1 lbs (I believe) and Alta is 0.9 lbs.

has anyone purchased one these ? problems, issues

That's an Unorthodox Racing (what mini mania sells) knockoff. The downside to that style is the installation. The center steel portion must be heated in order to press fit it on. the UR website has installation instructions you can download. Seems like a huge pain to me.

After looking back at the picture... I maybe this particular one isn't made exactly the same... can't tell for sure.

That catch can is actually similar but TOO BIG to fit in the usual place. Do a quick search before you spend your money and are disappointed. Some may have made it fit, but the M7 is a custom size. This one, I have seen on NAM, is too long. FYI.
